Qufu TEMB auto parts manufacturing Co. ltd was established on March 15th 1971, located in holy orient city-qufu, Shandong Province, the hometown of the world famous and greatest thinker and educationist-confucius, which is far away from Beijing and shanghai 600 kilometers and 800 kilometers, respectively. The company was transformed into limited company in oct.2001 and founded the TEMB group in Jan, 2008. At the beginning, the company was established in accordance with the OE standard. Then with the development, we have been developing the aftermarket, so far, 20% of our market is OE and the remaining is aftermarket. Currently the company covers an area of 85000 square meters, the building area 20000 square meters and has more than 520 staffs work there, 130 of them are technicians.
And now the company has set up the branch in Shanghai. Maybe you will ask that why did you choose Shanghai not other places to set up the branch. Ok I will give you the answers. First, as we all known, Shanghai is an international metropolis, whatever the economic system, transportation system and financial system is very sound. Second, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shandong provinces are the top three production bases of brake pad, especially the Shandong province, 90% brake pads are produced from there. So the geographic location of Shanghai is very favorable. By the way the Jinghu high-speed railway will be completed next year, from then on, it will only cost three hours from Qufu to Shanghai so that it will be very convenient. And the third, there are so many talents in Shanghai that we can own the talents what we need. At present, in our shanghai branch we can offer more than eight languages service, such as English, French, Russian, German, Korean, Arabic and Spanish, Portuguese etc. That is a great team.
Brake pad and thermostat are our main products. Thermostat is in leading position in China and all over the world, in others words, thermostat ranks first in China and ranks fourth in the world. As for brake pad, our company is one of top ten brake pad production bases in China. We can supply good quality products, good customer service and 100% delivery on time. Also we can supply the goods according to the customers’ request.
Because firstly, we have nearly 1900 part numbers and more than 20 new part numbers will be added each month.
Secondly, “human-oriented, continuous innovation and providing best products to customers” is our quality philosophy.
Thirdly, we have advanced plant and lines. Most production lines are operated semi-automatic or full automatic. The annual capacity of brake pad and brake shoe is 5 million sets and 1 million sets, respectively. And the most raw materials are imported from all over the world, such as artificial graphite from Asbury, Kevlar from dupon, friction powder from cardilote, potassium titanate whiskers from USA, mineral fiber from lapinus, etc.
Fourthly, we have international testing equipments, in 1993, we introduced thermostat adjusting equipment from France VERNET; in 2001, introduced key technology and equipment of membrane thermostat and bi-metal chip switch from Japan NTCL. Also our products have to be passed the following testing, such as Contest testing, Sheer testing, Krause testing, Hardness testing, compressibility tests, etc.
Fifthly, we have nearly 150 OE customers, such as domestic OE customer, FAW Volkswagen, BYD, Shanghai GM, Chery, FAW-Toyota, etc, the international OE customer, Japan fuji suburu, France Peugeot, America al-ko, America mercury, Korean doosan, and so on.
Our products are well popular in the world, they are exported to more than 30 countries and regions, in 2009, we actually exported 2.4 million sets, taking up 80% of total production, North America and Europe accounted for 61% export.
